Small update!

NGG wants to apologize for being MIA. The site hasn’t see an update in a long time, but that’s going to change!

The member of NGG have been caught up in smaller works with other teams, education, jobs, etc.

But we’ve noticed amongst all that, we’ve accidentally left this on the side.

Not anymore.

We promise the site is going tone updated more regularly with development updates and such.

Talented iOS developer? NICE GUY GAMES WANTS YOU!

Nice Guy Games is looking for a rock star iOS developer to handle porting duties from XNA and PC titles, as well as spearhead the development of incredibly simple yet addictive and fun titles later down the project pipeline for NGG.
Everyone at Nice Guy Games works for a profit share, so you’ll be taking a cut off of the revenue of any title you help develop.
If you’re a college student, we’d be more than willing to work something out with a professor so you can receive college credit or have our game count towards course work in some way!

Update!

Greetings from development land!

Things have been swamped at NGG, but we do have some shiny news. We have a new programmer, Adam Schein, who’s hard at work with a new alpha build of Defend The Jungle!, and Tom Hongsubchat has been laying down some sick tracks for DTJ.

Erik Mueller (ErikThePirate.com)  has also been working hard on art!

Colorizations!

Hey all, Erik, our artist, has been hard at work handling animations and coloring his designs. I present to you the following units:

The Silverback is the protective big-brother of the group. A heavy-hitting, dirt-bomb throwing ranged unit.

The Gecko is a ranged unit, and is completely out of his mind.

So, as you all can see, we’re playing with a very colorful, vibrant swath of color. This is our goal with Defend The Jungle!, to create a vibrant, living world of these critters.

Let us know what you think! Drop us a line in the comments section below!

Updates from late ROCKTOBER …

I don’t now what that title means, however; I know that news has been slow regarding “Defend The Jungle!” This is no indication that the game is cancelled or anything like that, it’s just the sole fact that October has been a crazily busy month for everyone on the team. Musical gigs, re-engagements, college getting hectic, etc, everyone has been busy at work with the realities of life, while also dedicating their part-time efforts to our fantastic game scheduled for release on the XBOX Live Indie Games section of the Xbox Live Marketplace.

We’ve been kicking ideas around, including adding a few units here and there, balancing issues, stuff like that, but in the end, we’re all still super-stoked for “Defend The Jungle!” which is shaping up to be incredibly fun.

Stay tuned! More (color) artwork to come, and perhaps even … a TEASER!?

Defend The Jungle Concept Art!

Erik, our amazing artist-at-large has put together a great design for The Lacewing, who can be best be described as being the “hot shot” of the group of animals defending the jungle from human invasion. It’s a little light, Erik put this guy together with paper and pencil, however; this is the initial design of the cockiest member of the animal squad.

"Don't call me Maverick."

Meetings of the mind!

We here at Nice Guy Games have been hard at work putting together our release schedule for our first few titles. After much deliberation, we have hammered out an agreeable lineup of launch titles that are both incredibly exciting and drastically different than anything else offered by other gaming labels.

That said, we will be needing staff members at various positions! Leave a comment if you’re interested in joining the team, and please have a resume and relevant samples ready to share!

Stay tuned for more!
